Résumé de la thèse

I am particularly interested in the political role of organizations, both internally and externally. From an internal perspective, I am interested in the potential outcomes and consequences of internal practices and culture. Dimensions of inquiry include hierarchies, effects of globalization, resonance in the workplace, the commodification of labor, determinants of corporate toxicity/scandals, etc. From an external perspective, I am interested in exploring how organizations interact with their environment (i.e., shaping and reacting), with a strong emphasis on digitalization. At first, I intend to engage with these broad topics from a quite philosophical-sociological perspective, with the ultimate intention of contributing to a consistent dialogue between academia, organizations, and society. The third axis of my research, with fiercely and inevitably resonates with organizational and digital ethics, is to engage, with respect to the latter domains, in a deeper analysis of the three-fold crisis suggested by Hartmut Rosa (with the self, with others, and with the environment).

— Note that according to emergent doctoral standards in my field, I am encouraged to write three papers rather than one monograph.
