The subjective social status of the working class in the Western World

The first part of my PhD research is dedicated to shed new light on the trajectory of the working class’s subjective social status in the last decades. Has their subjective social status decreased compared to the one of other classes? If so, when and in which countries?

For addressing these issues, I use ISSP data and I carry out a comparison across 30 years and between several western countries.

The next steps of my PhD project are still being defined.
