Résumé de la thèse My PhD thesis will investigate the multidimensional mobility and movement experiences of rural-urban migrant Children in Street Situations (CSS) in contemporary China. In the context of an evolving perception of childhood and the emergence of a child-rights discourse, I will specifically explore the ways these children perceive themselves as autonomous subjects and rights holders and make sense of their mobilities and movements. At the crossroad between migration studies, sociology and sinology, this research will intend to contribute to a better understanding of migrant CSS’ mobilities and movements in China through a transdisciplinary perspective.
